DJ Beatmatic (Andrew Hassell) was born May 12 1991 and was raised in Trenton NJ. He writes music, record, remix original songs,  sample his own Instrumentals & mix down songs. Beatmatic is also an Actor, Video Editor, & Photo Editor. On his own behalf he records videos & takes pictures. Every so often Beatmatic will get into something new.

 

1995 Beatmatic had a taste of loving music as a child. He displayed loving music when he started banging on tables with his hand. Beatmatic loved the rhythm of a rap song or even a gospel song. He went into banging with his hands into using 2 pencils at a time. Even in middle school in 2003 and so he was known for banging beats with his hands and beat boxing with his mouth. 

 

 In 2000 music was witnessed & introduced in Beatmatic eyes. His Brother known as THE KING G-MONEY was namedby his 5th Grade teacher Mr. Conway as G-Money. 2 friends Damon Green (Young D & Corey Page (Lil C) were recruited by their Mentor Darryl Hendricks & were named 3ST (3 Small Teens). The song ws called Led Poisioning based on Preventing babies & children from getting poisoined by Led. 

 

In 2001 at 10 years old Beatmatic would imitate or create characters out of voices. He would record on Cassette Tape of him doing multiple characters just having a conversation & fighting each other. This carried on over 5 years & this is where the birth of his acting bagan. 

 

Summer of 2001 Beatmatic was named A-Drew for short of Andrew named by G-Money. G-Money wrote Beatmatic a verse he calls Rap All Good. He raps out this verse but his attempt to write didn't go anywhere. All G-Money friends were able to rap as & Beatmatic gave it his best effort. That was a challenge he needed to overcome. Same year he would learn keys on a Piano where his dad was teaching him.

 

In 2005/2006 he continued to face this struggle of trying but no change. Beatmatic learned to mix microphones through a Digital multitrack Recorder port to a boom box CD Player/Audio Jack/Tape Recorder. Beatmatic managed to write a few bars to a song but it didn't fit the Instrumental. G-Money tried helping Beatmatic out with writing the song. At this time Beatmatic would fade out of music for the next 2 years. 

 

At 17 years old in 2008 Beatmatic found himself getting into music again. On October 3 2008 his cousin Tyquan came over his house & Beatmatic decided to try to freestyle off the mind. Without no written lyrics he actually pulled it off. A simple MP3 Player held the memory of something to listen to as a beginner. He decided to give writting another chance. His ambition also put him into sampling beats and themes on a Playstation 2 Game left behind by G-Money. Around this same time his cousin Tyquan known now as Quan started doing his own thing. At home or at school Beatmatic would constantly write songs & even recorded some on his MP3 Player. for the next 3 years he would continue writting through his pain & experiences.

 

On Myspace in 2009 Beatmatic got into a little acting by showing off some of his talent. He was mostly joking around on some videos with others or even by himself. This attempt did not last long but it opened something new for him to love. Beatmatic fell into a whole new world of loving to record videos. In high school he fell into acting even more when he performed in acting class. He receieved great feed back from the teacher & displayed a natural ability to act. He still was writing songs & sampling beats throughout the year & in 2010. 

 

In 2011 Beatmatic soared pass writting a verse into writting 2 to 3. Sampled Instrumentals were now taken to computer & sounded more professionally. The only bad thing was Beatmatic needed his own name that would fit him & not A-Drew. In his mind he said “My Beats are Automatic” & took auto out of automatic. Beat was fused to matic & DJ Beatmatic was born. Beatmatic wanted to take it to the next level & found himself remixing Original Songs into a whole new song. This is where he takes his talent to the public through youtube by remixing She Ain’t You Remix By Chris Brown, Right Here/Human Nature Remix By SWV & Human Nature By Michael Jackson. More remixes were made & Beatmatic found himself behind a camera acting. No script was written for this Short Film called The Half. Beatmatic played as himself & as his evil twin The Half, hunting for revenge & causing havoc. The idea was all Beatmatic & the camera shots was by his his sister Alyssa Hassell. She began going to college as a Film Director in 2011. As a learning process she had to do more than just learn how to direct. She was put in the phase of recording & that’s how The Half came into existence. 

 

2012 began a year where Beatmatic got in the phase of finally recording his own songs through webcam. He released his first public song called Nobody Knows My Life by sampling Jay Z Dynasty & its original She Said She Loves Me By Kleer. Songs were written so much that it was time for yet another beginning. Beatmatic eventually got his own microphone fot for recording music. His acting role would also continue on & released on youtube.

 

In 2013 Beatmatic decided to create a mixtape bacause songs were written, recorded and released on hulkshare. He named this mixtape Nobody Knows My Life based on the facts that his songs were about his life. On September 15 2013 he released this mixtape on Datpiff & used most of his own samples. He would continue on even after his debut mixtape into 2014. His acting role continue but not much as music.

 

2014 Beatmatic released his second mixtape called Unleashed. It was a continuation from his first mixtape about his life but in a more aggresive way. 13 songs were on this mixtape including some samples by Beatmatic. On Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes 2 songs by Beatmatic was featured on 2 different mixtapes. Unleashed made history in the entire year on Datpiff, Nervedjmixtapes, Topmixtapes, Hulkshare and Soundcloud. Beatmatic found himself acting and now imitating his Grandfather & palying a role in a show called The Roommates. 

 

In 2015 Beatmatic was apart of his first credited film called Image Vs Reality written by Alyssa Hassell. He was an extra and a Behind The Scenes Video Recorder. Beatmatic has his sights on Acting & doing music but more so acting. Why do he do these things? He loves what he does whether he is known by 1000 fans or 1 fan. Just doing what he loves makes him happy no matter what position he chooses.
